FAQ
What does BYOK mean?
BYOK means Bring Your Own Key. You connect your own AI provider key in Settings, and Aion uses that provider for cloud replies.
What stays on my phone?
Your Aion memory, timeline, history, and profile data stay on your phone. Cloud prompts leave the device only when you use a connected provider or tool.
Does Aion block screenshots?
No. Aion allows screenshots by default so users stay in control of what they save or share.
Is Gmail supported?
Gmail integration is planned for a future update. It is not active in the current release. When it becomes available, you will be able to connect your Gmail account from Settings.
Why is local mode slow?
Local models run directly on your phone hardware. Performance depends heavily on device memory and model size.
